Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what data Ans·Rev, Inc. (“Ans·Rev,” “we,” “us”) collects, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It covers our marketing site, the Ans·Rev application, and the first-party pixel and integrations you connect to your workspace.
Who we are and our role
For the personal data of our own account holders, website visitors, and prospects, Ans·Rev is the controller. For the personal data contained in content, CRM records, mailbox data, and visitor events that a customer connects to their workspace, Ans·Rev acts as a processoron that customer’s behalf — the customer is the controller and our processing is governed by our Data Processing Addendum. This policy describes our controller activities; the DPA governs the processor activities.
Data we collect
Account and workspace data
When you create an account or workspace we collect your name, work email, password credentials, organization details, billing contact, plan and seat configuration, and the settings you choose (connected engines, prompt baskets, automation and approval preferences). We also log product usage and diagnostic events to operate and secure the service.
The Ans·Rev pixel and visitor resolution
A core feature is a first-party website pixel that a customer installs on their own site. When a visitor loads a page carrying the pixel, we process technical signals — IP address, user agent, referrer, and page activity — to resolve the visit to a company using firmographic and IP-to-organization data. Company-level resolution is the default.
Person-level resolution only occurs where there is a lawful basis and, where required, consent. Ans·Rev does not attach a named individual to an anonymous visit unless the applicable configuration and jurisdiction permit it. Customers are responsible for providing notice to their own website visitors and for collecting any consent their jurisdiction requires before enabling person-level resolution.
Content, CRM and mailbox data processed on your behalf
To run the loop for a workspace, Ans·Rev processes the content you draft and publish, the CRM records you connect (accounts, contacts, opportunities), and — where you enable outreach — the mailbox and sending metadata needed to prepare human-approved messages. This data is processed under the customer’s instructions as controller. We do not use it to build cross-customer profiles.
Cookies and similar technologies
On our marketing site we distinguish essential cookies (required for security, load balancing, and remembering your choices — always on) from analytics and marketing cookies (off until you opt in). Our consent banner lets you accept, reject, or set per-category preferences, and your choice is stored and can be changed at any time. We do not load non-essential tags before you opt in.
Why we process data (lawful bases)
Where the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) or the EU/UK GDPR apply, we rely on:
- Contract — to provide the service you sign up for and administer your account and billing.
- Legitimate interests — to secure, operate, debug, and improve the service, and for business-to-business, company-level marketing, balanced against your rights.
- Consent — for non-essential cookies, for person-level visitor resolution where consent is required, and for optional marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting, and compliance requirements.
How we share data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers (subprocessors) who process it under contract on our instructions, with connectors you explicitly enable, where required by law or to protect rights and safety, and in connection with a merger or acquisition (with notice). Our current subprocessors are listed in the DPA and include:
- LLM and answer-engine providers — to run sweeps and generate drafts, under no-training terms where offered.
- SERP and web-data providers — to observe rankings and answer-engine citations.
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure — to run and store the service.
- Data-enrichment and IP-to-company providers — to resolve visits to firmographics.
- Payment and email-delivery providers — to bill and to send transactional and approved messages.
International transfers
Ans·Rev is a US company serving a global market, and our subprocessors may process data in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal data out of Nigeria, the EEA, or the UK, we rely on an appropriate transfer mechanism — Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK Addendum, adequacy decisions, or an NDPA-recognized adequacy or contractual safeguard — and apply supplementary measures where needed.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above: account data for the life of the account plus a limited period for legal and tax obligations; workspace and processor data per the customer’s configured retention and the DPA; and pixel/resolution data for a bounded window sufficient to attribute revenue pipeline, after which it is aggregated or deleted. Aggregated, k-anonymized benchmarks that power the public Ans·Rev Index do not identify individuals.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict your personal data, to object to certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Nigeria, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission).
- NDPA 2023 (Nigeria) — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right not to be subject to solely automated decisions with significant effect.
- GDPR (EU/UK) — the equivalent data-subject rights described above.
- CCPA/CPRA (California) — the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing.” We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals where applicable.
To exercise a right, email [email protected]. If your request concerns data we process on a customer’s behalf, we will refer you to that customer as controller and assist them as required.
Security
We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, per-workspace isolation, least-privilege access with consented impersonation for support, hash-chained audit logging of privileged actions, and ongoing monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data commensurate with its sensitivity.
Children
Ans·Rev is a business tool not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and the law evolve. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date and, where appropriate, additional notice. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
